A/R: PROPER MEASURES AND PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE GIVEN TO GALAMSEYERS WHO INVADE THROUGH ANGLO GOLD ASHANTI MINE CONCESSION TO SERVE AS A DETERRENT --- FORMER OBUASI WEST MP FUMES.*



The former member of parliament for Obuasi West constituency Hon. Edward Ennin has said it is time legal actions should be taken against galamseyers who unlawfully invade into Anglo Gold Ashanti mine concession to serve as a deterrent to others.


Speaking in an interview with Nsiesiehene Yaw Poku on shaft fm morning show on Tuesday morning,the honourable former MP Hon.Edward Ennin Said 

The Anglo Gold Ashanti mine Obuasi has only 30% concession left which has over 6000 workers.So in order to protect the 30% of their remaining concession, they will definitely be strict on the way forward to protect it.

He Said,who in his or her own house will allow anybody to invade into His house unlawfully?


So Anglo Gold Ashanti mine is doing to protect their company.

Meanwhile the former law maker has question Anglo Gold Ashanti mine Obuasi to come out publicly to explain whom they gave the 70% concession to

He Said, he knows the few people who are  enjoying the 70% concession released by the company to the public.

He lastly said the people of Obuasi and the galamseyers should put it in their mind that Anglo Gold Ashanti mine Obuasi cannot recruit every one into the company, not even the government can employ everyone into the government sector.

He Said even in America the government cannot employ everyone into the government sector but the private company do help.

He ask a question that,can the galamseyers employ everyone into their small concession where they are demanding Anglo Ashanti mine Obuasi to release to them?

He said it is about time the people of Obuasi find out which people are enjoying the 70% concession released by Anglo Gold Ashanti mine to the public that will bring solution to this problem.

  *ECOLINKS Supports Twifu Atti-Morkwa District with 1000 Coalpots* The District Chief Executive for Twifu Atti-Morkwa District, Hon. Isaac K. Yawson, has revealed that the foreign-based Non-Governmental Organization, ECOLINKS, has donated 1000 gyapa coalpots to residents of five communities in the district. The communities benefiting from the initiative are Akweikrom, Akloman, Akutuase, Asamoakrom/Ongwaso, and Bimpongegya, with each community receiving 200 coalpots. According to Hon.
