THE FEAR OF BAWUMIA-NAPO TICKET IS WRECKING THE NDC PARTY- HLD NPP CHAIRMAN

THE FEAR OF BAWUMIA-NAPO TICKET IS WRECKING THE NDC PARTY- HLD NPP CHAIRMAN*

The NPP's flagbearer cum Vice President of the Republic of Ghana has since outdoored the energy minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate, an event which took place in Kumasi and saw great multitude of party faithfuls and party bigwigs like Hon. Joe Ghartey, Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, Ing. Kwabena Adjei Agyepong, Hon. Kennedy Agyepong et al.

At the said event, the outdoored running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiah was emphatic about the current government's performance on the country's development where he praised the Akufo-Addo government and likened the performance to that of the first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and emphatically said that, "right from 1957 till date, no government has done better with Ghana's development than the Akufo-Addo government, including Kwame Nkrumah's CPP government then". The NDC has since taken a big swipe at him and washing him with coal to so darken him.

But on the Bankam FM in Jukwa in the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency and while responding to probe from Swagon Mama, the NPP chairman for the constituency took his time to draw a distinctive line and further detailed the declarations of his party's running mate. Mr. Abu Farouk said "it is surprising the NDC isn't fighting their own course and leaving the CPP to do theirs, but right now, it is like a thief who has entered a shrine to take away a deity and the deity's messenger being the fetish priest who wants to go and fight on the deity's behalf even after claiming the deity is mightier at war. We have heard Mr. Mahama tout himself with developmental records and all of that in recent times, but we kept quiet and questioned him on the whereabouts of the said projects, and for instance, in my constituency their E-book suggested they had constructed an E-block at Twifo Hemang Secondary Technical school but nothing of the sort is done there. One would have thought that Mr. Mahama and his NDC would have stood up to the NPP and Napo clapping back at them with their own records, but here we are seeing Mr. Mahama the self touting developer of Ghana in a green book rather defending Kwame Nkrumah's legacy and leaving his own records off the debate. Why can't the NDC stand up to the NPP on their own records but seeking to give Mr. Napo a bad name out of their own fear of the Bawumiah-Napo ticket which has began wrecking the NDC party from the word go. To me, (Abu Farouk) it is not surprising, because the Mahama NDC cannot in anyway attempt to draw any parallel lines relative to Ghana's development with the NPP so they can only run to take cover from the CPP's Kwame Nkrumah who met over £500m in coffers with less than 3million population and still left us a debt".

Chairman Abu Farouk insisted that, Mr. Mahama's acclaimed projects could not be pointed to as most of these projects were started under Kuffuor with secure funding and others by Late Prof. Mills but he (Mr. Mahama) sort to take refuge in to cover his miserable failure as President then.

He urged Ghanaian voters to ignore the NDC and give the governing nod to the NPP to continue with the policy implementation and not repeat the same mistake done under Kuffuor where NDC came to destroy all that Kuffuor had done. He again admonished Ghanaians to be weary of NDC and that, consider how the NDC run down Kuffuor but today praise him by themselves, suggesting that same thing will happen when Nana Addo leaves power.

Mr. Abu Farouk in his final submissions suggested that " the NDC is simply scared of the NPP's ticket and the fear of the said ticket is wrecking the NDC party".

He urged his constituents to look forward to a new Hemang Lower Denkyira under Bawumiah-Napo/Agyinsam from January 2025.
