Twifo Atti-Morkwa Supports Nationwide Clean-Up Initiative*


     As part of the Government of Ghana’s nationwide clean-up exercise policy initiated under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly organized a successful clean-up campaign on Saturday, 2nd August.


     The exercise saw active participation from the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Mr. Isaac Yawson, and the Council of State Member for the Central Region, Mr. Hakeem Addae. The team led the clean-up at Twifo Nyenasi and Kayireku Area Councils.


     Speaking to the media, Mr. Isaac Yawson expressed appreciation to the media for their continued support and publicity of developmental activities. He also commended all individuals and stakeholders who participated in the exercise. He encouraged government appointees to carry out their duties diligently and adhere to directives from the central government to ensure cleanliness and development in all districts across the country.



     Mr. Hakeem Addae also urged community members to actively respond to calls by traditional leaders (Nananom) for communal labour. According to him, such collective efforts are vital for promoting sanitation and fostering sustainable development in the communities.

ECOLINKS Supports Twifu Atti-Morkwa District with 1000 Coalpots*

  *ECOLINKS Supports Twifu Atti-Morkwa District with 1000 Coalpots* The District Chief Executive for Twifu Atti-Morkwa District, Hon. Isaac K. Yawson, has revealed that the foreign-based Non-Governmental Organization, ECOLINKS, has donated 1000 gyapa coalpots to residents of five communities in the district. The communities benefiting from the initiative are Akweikrom, Akloman, Akutuase, Asamoakrom/Ongwaso, and Bimpongegya, with each community receiving 200 coalpots. According to Hon. Yawson, the primary objective of this program is to help mitigate climate change in the district, region, and country as a whole. He attributed the adverse effects of climate change to human activities such as cutting down trees for firewood. Hon.
