C/R Hemang Lower Denkyira Npp Parliamentary Candidate and Health Authorities Organise Free Health Screening for Constituents*


More than 1200 residents of Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency in the  Central Region have received free medical screening for various health conditions under the auspices of the Parliament Candidate *Mr Lawrence Kwabina Agyinsam (CEO Exim Bank Ghana)*.



The residents were screened of Blood Pressure, Malaria, Hepatitis B, Blood Sugar, Eye Test, Dental Test, Typhoid Fever, Asthma and among others diseases.

 

Speaking to the media *Mr Lawrence Kwabina Agyinsam* said it was his vision to ensure that his constituents have access to quality healthcare irrespective of their economic situations.



“This is to offer residents the opportunity to have their health checked and get treatment at their door step. 


The medical outreach which is one of his many annual events was organised in collaboration with Equity Health insurance.


The DCE for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency *Hon Nana Kwaku Abban* commended the Parliamentary candidate for the exercise and complement their work to provide quality health care service for his constituents.



He advised the constituents to exercise regularly, watch their diet and visit the health facility to have their health concerns addressed.


Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Mr Lawrence Kwabina Agyinsam for the exercise which will helped them know their health statuses for better treatment.

Study finds dangerous cancer-causing chemicals in meats cooked with burnt car tyres

A joint study by the African Centre of Excellence in Public Health and Toxicological Research (ACEPUTOR), University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has revealed alarming levels of cancer-causing chemicals in meats singed using tyres. Published in the journal Environmental Health Insights, the study found that meats singed with tyres contain high levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), particularly a harmful chemical called Benzo[a]pyrene, which is known to increase the risk of cancer.
