   The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the performance of some Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the region, accusing them of complacency and inefficiency. Speaking during an engagement with the media and MMDCEs in Accra on Thursday, August 28, 2025, Madam Ocloo said the failure of certain chief executives to deliver on their mandates was undermining the government’s efforts to address the region’s pressing challenges. “Let me go straight to say that I am disappointed at the level of inefficiency and complacency exhibited by some of our chief executives. New Toilet Facility Brings Relief to Twifo Nuamakrom Residents* The residents of Twifo Nuamakrom in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region have eulogized their assembly member, Hon. Daniel Agbodza, who also serves as the Presiding Member for Twifo Atti-Morkwa District, and their chief,Nana Akrofi Koram, for supporting the community in building a 10-seater water closet toilet in Nuamakrom. According to the residents, the new toilet facility has brought relief to the community, as they previously struggled with accessing proper toilet facilities, resorting to using the bush or polythene bags. Ghana raises cocoa farmgate price to GH¢3,228.75 per bag of 64-kg

  The government has increased the price of cocoa beans paid to cocoa farmers from GH¢49,600 per tonne to GH¢51,660 per tonne, with a target to pursue about 650,000 tonnes for the 2025/2026 cocoa year.  The increment represents GH¢3,228.75 per bag of 64-kilogramme gross weight of cocoa. This was announced by the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, at a press conference today (Aug 4).
